Banana bread smell making me dizzy and sick????

I'm not even sure where to start with this one. Last night my housemates were making some banana bread for a friend in surgery recovery and I was woken up by it. (Fumes from the oven maybe?) I woke up feeling sick, nauseous confused, dizzy, and my heart pounding out of my chest but no allergic symptoms. I also felt weak, like I was struggling to sit up and stand to go use the restroom. I have never experienced anything like this before. I almost felt drunk or high but like a really bad high.

The smell of the banana bread was absolutely nauseating and dizzying, it was genuinely terrible. I still feel really rough today bc I ended up not getting to sleep until a couple hours later bc it freaked me out so bad and I ended up sleeping a total of 14 hours. Has anybody experienced something similar??
