Should I switch into a psychology major?
Ok so I just finished my first year in a business administration university program and I’m now doing a product analyst internship. Ive realized that I absolutely hate business, corporate life, and everything about my program. I chose to study business cus I didn’t know what I wanted to do and thought it was just a good versatile degree to have, but I was so completely uninterested and unmotivated to the point where I failed multiple classes and had to redo them. I also have adhd which makes this feeling even worse. Reflecting more on my personality and skills, I don’t think I’d be good at anything analytical, but I also wouldn’t be good at something that’s very networking heavy like marketing or sales. I think I’d be a great therapist, social worker, teacher. The only thing holding me back from just changing my major to psychology and going down those career paths is that I’ve heard people in these fields get really low salaries or struggle finding jobs. My main goal is to just have a stable income, I don’t have super high expectations but I just want around a 60 k entry level salary, with potential to earn around 90 k. If anyone has ideas of what jobs I’d like that have a stable salary and are somewhat in demand please tell me because I really want to switch to a psych program but I can’t do that without having a good plan and job options. Im also open to any other majors/career suggestions.
