My opinion on the commander

As well all know, the commander is an idealist, he wants both, reclamation of the surface and his own dream of liberating Nikkes but let's be honest, the world he's in is never giving him that, his wish to liberate the Nikkes is still a secret but it won't be hidden from the central government for so long, informations about his blood might get leaked, more Nikkes might betray him in the future, I get that he blatantly showed how his resolve isn't going to break no matter what but for how long? The more the story progresses the less human he feels, at some point I feel like the commander is a man-made project to be a messiah of some sort, maybe a copy of the legendary commander? My opinion is that he feels like an idiot who's stretching himself too thin
