wine recommendations?

hello everyone!! i started drinking wine recently, and had avoided it for a long time because i am pretty picky. i have only tried a few, cheap bottles. i am traveling to italy soon and i would love to try more wines there, but don't want to waste money on a glass i end up hating.

i prefer sweet wines, and a favorite of mine is famile blue parachute, made by post, a winery based in arkansas. again, i am super new to drinking wine so if anyone has any recommendations for kinds to try while in italy, or specific bottles, i would love to hear them!! thank you!
