Getting weird silence from potential new employer
I was contacted by a company around 2 months ago for a job opening they'd like me to be part of. I had an online interview and then they invited me to their office to be part of an internal event to meet some of the team and just have a more informal talk with them. It went great and a couple of weeks after I heard back that they were preparing a proposal for me to review. A couple of more weeks went by and I reached out looking for an update and they responded that the proposal was beinf detailed and finalized and that one of them would reach out soon to go over it and talk.
It's now been almost an additional 2 weeks now and I haven't heard back. I feel slightly anxious that I'm not getting any response and would like to now if this is normal and if I should send another email or just wait. I don't want to seem pushy or something but the silence is making me nervous. Would it be ok to reach out again? Should I just wait? For context, it is a multinational company based in Dallas and my understanding is that most if not all hiring processes, approvals, etc should be discussed by Dallas and maybe that is why they take too long?
I just want some guidance on how to follow up nicely and don't fumble the opportunity. I'm really looking forward to getting this job.
