I've been a huge Wrong Turn fan for years, and Wrong Turn 4 is actually my favorite movie in the franchise.

Recently I've seen a theory floating around on TikTok and some forums claiming that Jenna was originally supposed to be the main final girl, and that the script was changed later, making Kenia the last surviving female character instead. Some versions of the rumor even say that the actress who played Kenia influenced the rewrite.

I've tried looking for interviews, production notes, deleted scenes, script drafts, or any official source that confirms this, but I haven't found anything concrete.

That said, Jenna really feels like the intended protagonist for most of the movie:

She's the first one to realize how dangerous the Hillickers are.

She constantly makes the smartest decisions.

She argues that they should kill the cannibals while they have the chance.

She gets more focus than several other characters.

To me, she feels much more like a classic slasher "final girl" than Kenia.

So I'm curious:

Has anyone ever found actual evidence of an alternate script or ending where Jenna survives?

Or do you think the filmmakers intentionally set Jenna up as the obvious final girl just to shock the audience when she dies?

I'd love to hear any information, interviews, deleted scene details, or theories from longtime Wrong Turn fans

Unpopular opinion: Sara would've made a great final girl too.

I know most people focus on Jenna, but I've always liked Sara and thought she had all the qualities of a final girl.

Was Jenna originally supposed to be the final girl in Wrong Turn 4?
