Fang Yuan's Cultivation

How do you guys feel about fang yuan cultivating all the paths at once? I personally think the story would be much more interesting if he developed his own unique path through the journey. I feel the multiple pathways route is really hard to keep up with since his moveset is constantly changing which leads to very few of them being memorable.
