Is it wrong to go to multiple clinics?

I hadn’t been to the dentist for a while. It’s very hard for me to get care because i work on the days dentist offices are open.
a couple months ago, i had a tooth that was in a lot of pain. i emailed and scheduled an appointment with a new clinic (ill call clinic 1). they couldn’t get in me for quite a bit of time. i was in so much pain, my partner ended up taking me to a clinic that was closer for an emergency appointment (ill call clinic 2). they referred me out to get a root canal, and then got a crown with them. at the endodontist office i found out i needed a root canal retreatment on another tooth.
i decided to keep the appointment with the original place i contacted (1). i want them to be my primary dentist because they are open on one day i’m not working. i had them do a new patient exam, and told them about the recent root canal and crown i got, and about the retreatment im gonna be needing. they told me to go ahead and get it scheduled with the endodontist so they can crown it.
i got the retreatment, and called the place to get a crown (1). the appointment was far out, and i was paranoid that it would compromise root canal. so i told them that it was a little too far out for me, and that i would try and schedule somewhere else for sooner treatment. they didn’t say anything about this being a problem.
i made the appointment for the crown at the office i got my emergency treatment (2).
today, i decided to call and try and make a future appointment to get a few cavities filled (1). the lady on the phone said “well it looks like we need the restoration on the root canal tooth first”. and i told them i already had an appointment with another clinic for it. she seemed quite upset with me, and said that “you can either do this according to your schedule, or according to our schedule”. she told me that if i didn’t cancel the appointment with clinic (2) that it would prevent me from making future appointments with them (1). i apologized and told them i didn’t mean to cause any trouble. i feel really bad, i had no idea receiving care in multiple places was wrong/bad. ive cancelled the appointments with clinic (2) and have rescheduled with (1), so i wont be banned from future appointments. i’ve been needing so much work the past few months, and ive just been an anxious wreck. did i really do something wrong?
