Was browsing the Capcom game list on the EShop after playing Resident Evil(loved it since a kid) and came across DD 1/2. Wanted to get the story so started with 1 on Hard Mode. Been playing for about a bit now and loving it, reminds me of FF. The vocations/exploration are great. I had just made it to the capital taking the hydra head when I saw a quest to escort a Ser to the shadow fort (lvl 19 mc/main pawn, 2 lvl 15 sup pawns). Things were good during the day- wolves, Saurian, a couple chimaeras(died multiple times to one shots). Then night came and the lanterns came out. "I don't want to be stuck out here in the dark so let me leave the road to shortcut to fort should be quicker." Oh how wrong I was. If you're close enough to see the dragon with a lantern yes he already saw you. I knew I was Fd when I saw 4+ Healthbars pop up, then out of nowhere Hobgoblins coming out of the dark into the lantern light. If the Ser im escorting dies I fail the mission. I give the command to run and we hightail it out of there (failed ambush quest but no way you're killing a dragon and gobs at night at this lvl). Made it to the Fort (Couldn't even get in!) So back out into the night FOLLOWING THE ROAD THIS TIME back to the capital. As daylight breaks I've fought so many mobs I am now 27. I then stumble upon a cave called the ancient quarry...gotta be safer here than out there with a dragon right? Also wrong. Main Pawn and lvl 15 Sup pawn are women..
