First of all, thank you to all the Immich developers for this great open source project.
I love Immich and it really helped a lot making sense of my huge 4TB media libarary.

In my personal workflow I encountered a gap though as I am regularly editing pictures in photoshop, lightroom or other software but there is no way to open pictures and videos in desktop software from inside immich.

So Immich helps me find the right picture quickly, but then I still have to manually navigate through my NAS to find the actual file.

As Immich is trapped in the browser sandbox its just not possible to directly open the Explorer or any other Desktop Apps from inside.

So I built Immich Bridge to bridge this gap.
It injects a new menu into the Immich toolbar (via Browser add-on) that calls a small windows companion app to open the picture in explorer or the app selector.

I mainly built this for my own workflow, but I figured it might be useful for others too.

Feedback is very welcome.

One note: I use Immich mainly with an external library. Be careful with editing internal library files directly, since those should usually be treated as read-only from outside Immich.
