Is it worth moving to the US in’26?

Hey everyone 👋

My name is Skil, I’m 20M from the Balkans, and I’ve had this dream of living in the US since I was a kid. I know it sounds cheesy, but growing up it always looked so cool the Halloweens, the fall season, the summers, just getting everything you want lol. The whole vibe seemed so appealing.

Now that I’m older I’m actually considering making it happen. I’m really interested in getting into advertising and the creative side of things, and the US is obviously the biggest market for that. That’s a huge part of why I wanna be there. But I gotta be real about my situation I don’t have a lot of resources and I’m not American. So I wanna ask:

Is it actually worth it to move to the US right now, and what’s the most realistic path to immigrating as a young person from the Balkans with limited funds, especially if I wanna break into advertising and creative work?

Any advice, personal experiences, or reality checks would be appreciated. Thanks!
