Desire Resort Riviera Maya During Xmas

My partner and I are contemplating heading to Desire Resort RM for our first time during Xmas this year (approx. 12/21 - 12/26) Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on what the resort is like during this time in terms of occupancy? Ideally we would reschedule if it is a going to be a ghost town/not the true experience....
