2027 seat

Wanted to ask here what people think of Liam’s prospects for 2027. I’ve been kind of stunned at all the chatter on both the formula1 and f1discussions subs this week about Tsolov moving up and Liam being out of a seat. It seems crazy to me that he’s sitting at #9 in the standings, just got a P5 and people are still talking about him being out of F1 or having to move teams. Assuming both their trajectories continue (Tsolov wins F2 and Lawson continues to preform/ score points consistently) would VCARB really drop him? I’m honestly not sure what else Lawson could be doing to change people’s opinions of him as a driver. The only races he hasn’t scored points in this year were both due to mechanical failures outside his control. He’s demonstrated over and over he can perform under massive pressure. His qualifying is getting better and he’s pretty handily beating Arvid.

The only thing giving me pause is it doesn’t seem like Alan gives him the same amount of praise that Arvid gets when he’s scored points. He’s hard to read. But I’m also not sure why Red Bull would have retained Lawson at all if they didn’t see potential.
