Any advice on how to get a persistent cat to keep her cone on?

Just some background, NOT ASKING FOR MED ADVICE. Just how to get her to keep her cone on so she doesn’t hurt herself. Obligatory “forgive the format, I’m on mobile”

About 1.5/2 weeks ago we noticed my cat had a really bad looking wound on her rear. (Indoor only, one other cat) We took her to the emergency vet and they suspected an anal gland rupture. They gave her some shots and a cone and told us to keep the cone on and make an appointment with her normal vet in a few days.

We did that and keeping the cone on then at that time was fine bc they had given some long acting pain meds that made her a little loopy. We take her to her normal vet a few days later and he said not a gland rupture, could be an infected cut or something else but come back in two weeks. Keep the cone on till then. Fine and dandy. She’s been tolerating it well. The vet gave her more antibiotics and she’s been taking those like a champ and the wound looks like it’s finally getting smaller, scabbing and healing.

We’re now just about a week out from her next follow up and she’s gotten comfortable and confident in the cone, we had started reintroducing her to the house and her sister since we had her isolated in the guest room and keep her there while we are at work since we don’t want the other cat to lick her wound or worse, them to fight.

But from last night to now she’s ripped off her cone/collar 3 times and my husband and I share a car and are at work 30 minutes away and we cannot leave to go back to put it back on (we already turned back once this morning)

So I’m already concerned what I’m going to come home to as far as how the wound looks.

The wound is literally right next to her anus so like I’d love to try a recovery suit but I don’t think it will actually stop her from licking it.

Does anyone have some advice on how to keep the cone on? She’s been wearing a soft recovery collar for the last week, I do have a more traditional e-collar also but she was able to get that off too so I’m kind of at a loss.

I can post some photos of the cone and wound location if needed but yeah

Any help would be appreciated.
