Question for juggalos that were juggalos before The Wraith was released.
If you were a Juggalo before The Wraith came out odds are you were a pretty big fan and had a good idea of their music and what they stand for. Around this time ICP had a lot of new fans because of The Great Milenko being a pretty big hit and getting ICP mainstream attention.
Also around this time realjuggalos.com was pretty popular as well. There was no social media back then. It was one of the biggest fan sites at the time and it was a site you could go to for ICP news. Of course the juggalos running the site would give their opinions on new albums and the latest ICP news.
With the release of ICP's new album, The Wraith, so many fans were excited about this. Plus it was to be their last Joker's Card which was a hot topic among juggalos. When The Wraith was released it seems, to my perspective at the time, that it was not well received. Especially the last song Thy Unveiling where ICP says that they're into god.
Realjuggalos.com, until The Wraith, had really only one news item where it wasn't totally positive. After The Wraith, many people left this site including the people running it. Even the owner/admin Juggalo Joe posted an extremely brief negative review and even admitted for the first time that he didn't like the Bizzar/Bizaar albums. Again, negativity on that site was very rare until then and I believe They Unveiling cost them a lot of hardcore fans at the time.
So my question is, especially for juggalos that were Juggalos before The Wraith came out, what is your perspective on this? Do you think ICP lost a lot of juggalos because of that album? What did you think of Thy Unveiling at the time?
