Screen peeking
I've seen a lot of talk about the screen peeking "issue" so far this master's, and of course it's been a thing at previous LANs also. Specifically though, those defending it in one way or another usually say that it's just a necessary evil in order for us to also get moments where the players "give it" to the other team after a round.
While I'm not a particular advocate for it one way or another, but what I don't understand is why the solution wouldn't be to just put a monitor-height screen just behind(/in front depending on perspective) each team's desks. That way the players can see the other team when they stand up and give it, but can't see them when they're sitting down and peeking around their monitors. Would this obscure the view of the players for the crowd more than I realise? Would the players still be able to see somehow? I can imagine a situation where a dead player stands up to relay info to their teammates, but that could be banned also.
In particular I heard Sliggy talk about this as if it was some unsolvable issue, as well as people on this sub, so I'm wondering if there's something to the mechanics of this I've missed that means it wouldn't work. Curious to hear people's thoughts on the issue generally also.
