Anyone still using a Lumia 920 as a daily driver?

I just picked up a beat-up 920 from a local flea market for basically nothing. It's definitely showing its age, and the battery life is honestly pretty rough, but I can't get over how good that screen and build quality still feel compared to the cheap plastic stuff I use for work now. I'm trying to see if I can actually make this a secondary daily driver for music and light texting, but I'm worried about the app situation. Most of the stuff I need is gone, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a decent way to keep the core functions useful. Are you guys still rocking any older hardware, or have you mostly moved on to just using these as collectors' items or media players? I'd love to know if there are any specific tweaks or custom ROMs people are using to keep the experience somewhat modern, even if it's just for the nostalgia of the Live Tiles.
