Every Driver Possibility for the Wood Bros #21 car in 2027

If I make the base assumption that the Wood Bros will choose from:

1) Current Cup drivers that are not top 16 in points

2) O'Reilly/Truck drivers that are top 16 in points

Then that leaves this list of potential candidates:

-Joey Logano

-Erik Jones

-Ryan Preece

-Michael McDowell

-AJ Allmendinger

-Zane Smith

-Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

-Ross Chastain

-Todd Gilliland

-Riley Herbst

-Austin Dillon

-John Hunter Nemechek

-Noah Gragson

-Ty Dillon

-Alex Bowman

-Cole Custer

-Connor Zilisch

-Cody Ware

-Justin Allgaier

-Jesse Love

-Corey Day

-Sheldon Creed

-Brandon Jones

-Austin Hill

-Carson Kvapil

-Sammy Smith

-William Sawalich

-Parker Retzlaff

-Sam Mayer

-Taylor Gray

-Rajah Caruth

-Brent Crews

-Ryan Sieg

-Brennan Poole

-Layne Riggs

-Kaden Honeycutt

-Chandler Smith

-Gio Ruggiero

-Christian Eckes

-Ben Rhodes

-Ty Majeski

-Tyler Ankrum

-Daniel Hemric

-Jake Garcia

-Corey Heim

-Stewart Friesen

-Grant Enfinger

-Brenden Queen

-Justin Haley

-Andres Perez

Some of those are obviously not going to be the guy, like Joey Logano, Corey Heim, Riley Herbst, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr, so here is a smaller subset that the 21 driver will almost certainly be chosen from:

-Ryan Preece

-Michael McDowell

-AJ Allmendinger

-Zane Smith

-Todd Gilliland

-Noah Gragson

-Alex Bowman

-Justin Allgaier

-Jesse Love

-Sheldon Creed

-Austin Hill

-Carson Kvapil

-William Sawalich

-Parker Retzlaff

-Sam Mayer

-Taylor Gray

-Layne Riggs

-Chandler Smith

-Gio Ruggiero

-Ty Majeski

The Cup drivers would basically have to lose their current ride to consider the 21, since its performance hasn't been substantially better than any other team and they're 30th in points.

The lower series drivers would jump from Chevy/Toyota to Ford in a heartbeat to get a chance at a Cup ride, unless the pathway to Cup in the next 3 years is already there in Chevy/Toyota, which seems like it only applies to Brent Crews and Corey Day.

Many of these drivers are "not ready" but have $10M+ money. Many of them have shown ability but do not have 10M+ money. The last 4 Wood Bros drivers were Paul Menard, Matt DiBenedetto, Harrison Burton, and Josh Berry, so it's reasonable to think both types are on the table.

Who would you pick and who do you think the Wood Bros are going to pick?
