What tool purchase do you wish you had made sooner?
I've been wrenching on cars and doing home repairs for about fifteen years, and for most of that time I kept putting off buying a decent torque wrench. Just winged it by feel, which looking back was pretty reckless. Finally picked one up a couple years ago and immediately wondered why I waited so long. Wheels actually stayed on. Imagine that.
It got me thinking about how many of us delay certain purchases because we think we can get by without them, or assume the cheaper workaround is good enough. Then you finally bite the bullet and realize your work improves almost instantly.
So what's the one tool you resisted buying for way too long, and what finally pushed you to get it? Was it a specific job that forced your hand, or did someone recommend it and you eventually caved? Any category counts - hand tools, power tools, measuring and layout, whatever your thing is.
Hoping this turns into a useful list for people newer to the hobby or trade who might be on the fence about certain purchases. Appreciate any responses
