EP Cover Design Brief – “In Darkness, There’s Light”

I need a professional EP cover design that represents my personal testimony and faith journey with God, focused on the transformation from darkness into light.

Core Concept

The artwork should communicate spiritual contrast and redemption—showing struggle, faith, and the presence of God bringing light into darkness.

Visual Direction

Color palette: black, white, and silver only

Strong contrast between dark and light elements

Include a cross as a central symbolic element (modern, subtle, and artistic—not traditional church imagery)

Either a split composition or blended transition: one side darker, one side lighter, or a washed/gradient fade between black and white to represent transformation

Style & Mood

Cinematic, emotional, and atmospheric

Modern minimalism with spiritual depth

Clean, high-contrast, not cluttered

Should feel like a visual testimony, not just artwork

Typography

Title: “In Darkness, There’s Light”

Clean, modern, minimal font style

Typography should support the image, not overpower it

Technical Requirements

Must be delivered in 3000 x 3000 px (DistroKid album/EP cover standard size)

High resolution, ready for streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

Square format only

Keep key text and focal elements centered with safe margins (avoid edge crowding for streaming crop previews)

File Delivery

Final delivery should include high-resolution PNG or JPG

Include editable source file (PSD preferred)

For sending the full-resolution final file, DM me for email details

Design Guidelines

Avoid overly busy textures or cluttered elements that reduce clarity

Ensure title and cross remain clearly readable and visually balanced

Design should work for both digital streaming and potential future print or merchandise use

Creative Freedom

You may creatively interpret the concept as long as the core message remains: darkness transforming into light through God and personal testimony.

Revisions

Include up to 2–3 revision rounds for adjustments if needed.

Commercial Use Agreement

By completing this design, you agree that I have full rights to use the final artwork for commercial purposes, including streaming platforms, promotional content, and merchandise.
