Why do so many posts here actually discourage solo travel?

Most of the travel posts here are like "I went solo travel but made friends or met new people, which was the best part of my trip". That's not the core of solo travel. You can make new friends even on a group trip. Wherever you go, be it solo or group, ofcourse you have to talk to strangers to get something done and move ahead like in hotel, restaurant, bus, taxi, guidance etc. That's not the core part.

The core of solo travel is how passionately you can spend time alone, in beautiful places, peaceful places, crowded places, everywhere, irrespective of interaction with others. To read a book on a quiet riverside, to work in a room with a good view, to have a sip of tea/coffee on a mountain, to have a thoughtful walk in fresh air, all without needing someone to talk.

Solo travel is best thing if you really know how to enjoy own company.
