Foreign Trained, Bar Exam Tip

Anyone who has passed the Bar Exam as a foreign-trained attorney, what helped you improve your MBE, MEE, and MPT scores? Any study tips that helped you pass?

I am a repeat taker and will be sitting for the exam for the fourth time. My biggest challenge is the MBE, where I am still scoring around 50%. I work full-time and can realistically study only 1–2 hours per day.

I have already used Adaptibar, Barbri, and Themis, and I am currently using UWorld. At this point, I do not think the issue is the study materials. My biggest challenges are consistency and time management while balancing a full-time job.

Right now, I am only doing practice questions and reviewing the answers. I am not spending much time on outlines or lectures, and I am wondering whether that may be part of the problem.

For those who passed while working full-time, what changes made the biggest difference? Did you focus on doing more MBE questions, memorization, reviewing outlines, writing essays, tutoring, or changing your study schedule?

I would especially appreciate hearing from other foreign-trained attorneys who passed after multiple attempts. What finally helped you get over the line?

Thank you.
