UK Standard Visitor Visa approved - May/June 2026 timeline

Hi everyone,

Sharing my UK Standard Visitor Visa experience from India in case it helps others who are applying.

I applied for a 6-month UK Standard Visitor Visa for tourism. My biometrics were done at VFS Hyderabad.

Timeline:

• Online application submitted: 26 May 2026
• Biometrics at VFS Hyderabad: 28 May 2026
• UKVI application received email: 29 May 2026
• Processing email: I did not receive any separate processing email
• Decision: Approved on 10 June 2026

My intended trip duration mentioned in the application was 21 days.

Documents I submitted:

I submitted quite a lot of documents to support my application:

1. Passport
   • Current passport containing multiple previous visas
2. Travel-related documents
   • Confirmed flight booking, including return tickets
   • Hotel bookings
   • Day-to-day travel itinerary
   • Harry Potter Studio tour booking
3. Financial documents
   • 6 months’ bank statements
   • 3 years’ Income Tax Return acknowledgement
   • Fixed Deposit certificate
   • Company vested stocks that mature in 2029
4. Employment documents
   • Employment letter
   • Salary letter
   • No Objection Certificate approving my leave
   • 6 months’ salary slips
   • Employment history and compensation/salary history
5. Travel history / supporting documents
   • Multiple e-visas to other countries
6. Other supporting documents
   • Travel insurance for the duration of travel
   • Property deed in my parents’ name
   • Aadhaar card
   • Rental agreement valid until 2027
   • Voter card as address proof
   • Flight ticket of my friends joining me from Canada

Cover letter note:

I had two somewhat large deposits in March and April from interest on my savings account, so I clearly mentioned and explained those in my cover letter. My spending in April was also comparatively higher due to personal travel, and I explained that as well.

Overall, my application was approved without receiving a separate processing email after the initial “application received” email.
