chloe DESERVED TO WIN this time!!!
in season 3 episode 16, chloe competed against maddie's "they'll never change" solo with "what about mother." chloe placed 2nd and maddie placed 1st (their scores were separated by ONE POINT).
chloe absolutely nailed her technique and performance here! at this point, you can really see chloe maturing as a dancer. abby gave her great choreography that highlighted all of her strengths and chloe rose to the occasion. most of the time, i find chloe to be rather stiff in her solos, but this solo was extremely fluid. additionally, chloe looked extremely confident on stage.
on the other hand, maddie's solo was a typical "maddie" solo. her costume was also gorgeous and i loved the pretty purple. although her technique was solid, her execution of the choreography seemed very rushed. furthermore, her turns lacked control as well as a couple of her leaps. also, the pace of the song was rather slow, so for me personally, that made her solo kind of boring to watch.
overall, maddie will always be an exceptional dancer in my eyes, but i believe that chloe was far superior than maddie this time, but what do you guys think?
