Large ventral repair in the morning 😳

59 yo F, I’m less than 24 hours away from my robot assisted ventral hernia repair. I have a 9 cm and three smaller ones from an abdominal surgery I had 7 years ago to remove a 19.5 ovarian cyst. I have put it off for several years and now lost 34 lbs to finally get it repaired. This is probably the worst place I could be right now reading about everyone else’s but I’m really hoping my repair will be better than the original surgery. I had Botox shots in my abdominal muscles about a month ago to help with the surgery and they will be doing nerve blocks in my abs while I’m under. Surgery is expected to be 6-8 hours. My surgeon is a hernia specialist and I feel very lucky to have him but I’m also terrified! I’ll update when I can. I’ve been doing a pre-surgery hypnosis program, I do think it helped before. I’m also looking forward to no longer looking like I am perpetually six months pregnant🤰and really, the surgery that started it all also started a seven year cycle of my life going to shit and me eventually making a comeback. This is the last piece of my old life and I’ll be happy to put it all in the rear view mirror. Prayers would be appreciated. šŸ™
