Books like Last of Us

Looking for a zombie (or apocalypse, or other monster/horror world occurrence) book that is emotional, specifically due to character dynamics. Father/daughter relationship would be nice, similar to Joel and Ellie, but any sort of heavy family/friend relationship that is tested against an apocalyptic setting.

Is Station Eleven similar to this vibe? I haven't read it, but I like the authors other works. But anyways, just something similar to the Last of Us vibe.
