Neet Mds scorecard doubt
Hey everyone,
I’m looking at my NEET MDS scorecard and trying to make sense of the math regarding the "grace marks" that NBEMS supposedly awarded due to technically faulty questions.
When I calculate my score based on my correct and incorrect responses, the math adds up Exactly to my total score without any extra marks. Here is a breakdown:
Total Questions Attempted: 193
Total Correct Responses 125
Total Incorrect Responses 68
The Calculation:
Marks from correct answers: 125 *times 4 = 500
Deduction for incorrect answers: -68
Total Score on Scorecard: 432 (500 - 68 = 432)
As you can see, the formula gives exactly 432. There are absolutely no "extra" or unaccounted grace marks added to this final score.
This leaves me with a few questions:
-
Where are the grace marks hidden? They aren't mentioned as a separate line item, and they aren't added on top of the final score.
-
Are they secretly included in the "Correct Responses" count? If NBEMS converted the dropped/faulty questions into "correct" responses for everyone, If yes then wouldn't it be wrong to included that grace marks in that correct response because what if one hadn't attended that question then how come it is included in the correct/attempted response? Wouldn't it change the meaning of that attempted questions?
It would be good if nbems clarifies this.
Did anyone see a jump in the no. of their attended questions? Or some extra marks are given separately?
