Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 is a huge downgrade

I had an Arctis 7 Wireless headset that I absolutely loved, but I got up one day and the right speaker no longer worked. I was crushed and ordered a Nova 7 because it seemed like the closest equivalent.

I thoroughly hate it. I miss the puck immensely.

In case you're not aware, the Arctis 7 had a USB disc that would basically serve as a hardware audio-passthrough to your desktop speakers, and as the wireless connection when you turned the headset on. It worked flawlessly. I turned on the headset, audio came through the headset -- every time.

The Nova 7 ditched this in favor of their SteelSeries GG software, which is flakey at best. It's rare that I have a day that I don't turn on the headset and have to open the stupid software and fiddle around to get audio coming through the headset. Often times I have to shut the software down and restart it to do this fiddling because I just get an on-screen spinner while the software does ... SOMETHING.

I hate it. If I could return them and get a new Arctis 7, I'd do it.
