Bard Melee Support? HELP

My party is playing our first long form campaign and we may have messed up on the team composition. We have a cleric, investigator, psion, bard, monk and sorcerer.

If it isn’t already clear, 5 casters and a monk aren’t exactly the best at things that want to get close and poke.

I am running the bard as a warrior muse support, since we have the debuff, damage and healing covered from a caster perspective. I’ve been buffing the monk while we are both in melee and though I’ve been lucky, I see the scaling hitting HARD over the next couple levels(we are going to 20 and are at 1 now).

I was trying to decide my free archetype at 2 and how I can be more reliable as another melee figure with support for the monk. I was thinking of taking multifarious muse for maestro and then swashbuckler as an archetype though which style I’m not sure.

Any advice on an archetype and if I can possibly make this work? Also, I am a gnome and face of the party fo the most part so if that restricts me even more I’m sure it will become clear.
