17chronic headaches since childhood worsening into migraine like symptoms light sensitivity 3 day episodes need advice

I am 17 and I have been struggling with headaches since I was a child when I was younger they were occasional and manageable so I did not think much about it but over the last 2 years they have become more frequent and much more intense now the pattern feels different the pain is sometimes on one side of my head and sometimes it affects my whole head I also get strong light sensitivity bright light clearly triggers or worsens the pain along with that I sometimes feel mild nausea not always vomiting but that uneasy feeling rn I have had a continuous headache for about 3 days the intensity keeps reducing and then coming back again in waves because of how it feels I recently started wondering if this could be migraines it really affects my ability to concentrate in school and daily life in childhood I also had a few head injuries and got stitches twice a scan was done back then and they said nothing serious was found i have not had a proper medical evaluation for these recurring headaches yet my family tends to dismiss it as being due to mobile usage but this has been happening long before I had heavy screen use I feel quite overwhelmed and unsure whether I should push for a neurologist consultation or if this still sounds like something less serious If anyone has experience with similar symptoms or medical insight I would really appreciate your advice
