Recent compression fracture

Hi all, I have osteopenia and my most recent t-scores were -1.6 spine and -2.2 femoral neck. Five weeks ago I slipped on my stairs and fell hard onto my back, resulting in a 25% compression fracture of my T8 vertebra. My mum has osteoporosis and had a spontaneous hip fracture at 61 along with other fractures on different occasions. I’ve done an online FRAX test and I’m apparently now at a very high risk of a future fracture. I’ve spoken to my doc who said he doesn’t think my injury counts as a fragility fall as I hit my back hard (but it was only from standing position) and that I should just keep taking my vitamin D supplement. I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or thoughts on what constitutes a fragility fracture. I’m 57.
