What cameras or doorbells actually have *good* conversational audio?
(<200ms round trip, real AEC)?
I'm trying to get my hands on some more devices to do more testing and I'm looking for stand out products that take audio seriously. I've tried all the big community ones like Tapo, Reolink and Unifi and it seems they're all getting left behind big time.
From what I have gathered so far:
Cameras/doorbells: Only Logitech Circle View seems to have legit low‑latency audio with capable AEC. Everything else I’ve tested or researched is either half‑duplex, super laggy, or aggressively noise‑gated. The new wired Nest is supposed to be a big improvement and Eufy makes some claims but I haven't heard one yet.
SIP intercoms: Basically all of them can do useful conversational audio. Aiphone is the gold standard for voice. Axis/Zenitel are great but tuned more for industrial use.
I’m sure I’m missing stuff. Are there any other devices, protocols, or weird one‑offs that overachieve?
Context: I’m building a realtime door/intercom app, [OneDoor]https://github.com/tylerransdell/onedoor) and am exploring what is possible with various products.
