The ending was perfect

I just finished the show and I loved how it ended. (Spoilers) Season 7 started out pretty bad and kinda silly, which I expected after reading everyone’s opinions, but I actually thought they tied things up really well in the end. Liza was always meant to end up with Josh, and I realised in that last scene that I was just waiting for them to get back together the whole time. The whole point of the show is that age doesn’t matter, but Liza always said that Charles was “age appropriate“ because she still believed that that was important which is why she always tried to convince herself she loved him more. Then something in her shifted (I forgot the scene/line) but there‘s a moment she finally realised that she really can be whoever and do whatever she wants. And that was the mindset evolution she needed to realise that Josh is the one! He never stopped loving her. I cried so much at that last scene, I just wish it was longer! Like if there was a silent shot of them looking at each either for a moment after he says “I’ve always been here“ 🥹
