Anyone noticed the amount of staff wearing headsets in shops lately?
I have a heron foods and a Savers I go in regularly.
In both shops, the staff wearing headsets. Like a singular earpiece, microphone and a band over the top.
Usually it's to ask Paul to pop onto till 2 as there's a queue forming. But they also chat over them. Like the ' what are you doing Saturday night?' sort of chat.
Two ladies were on aisles next to each other chatting about some TV show they'd been watching recently.
I got one half of the conversation as I was down the first aisle, then the second half of it as I went down the next. Both were emptying cages of stock and filling shelves.
Then I get to the till, and the guy is chatting to everyone else about whatever TV show it was. ' ooh I know Sara, I couldn't believe it ' and lots of random yes and no answers while scanning my shopping.
Why??
I can understand asking for till to be open, can you grab a new bottle of milk as this one is leaking etc
