Does Adding Aftermarket Lip Spoiler Strip (Small) Negatively Affect Fuel Economy/Efficiency?
Hi all. I just have a question. I have a 2025 Nissan Sentra S-Plus (essentially the base model "S" but in Canada "S" is reserved for the manual transmission, so we have a trim called S-Plus, which comes with a few things like heated mirrors and heated seats standard)
I was thinking of adding one of those aftermarket (Amazon) "peel and stick" small black lip spoiler/strip spoilers to the trunk lid of my car. Since it's not the high-trim SR Sentra, it does not have that OEM lip spoiler option.
The reason for thinking of installing this is 100000% for aesthetics. It is the subtle small strip type and not an obnoxious giant wing. I expect ZERO performance enhancement. It just looks nice in my opinion and seeing Amazon reviews of the part in question, it looks pretty subtle and nice.
However, I was wondering if it might have any negative impact on fuel efficiency since it is a generic Amazon strip and not a Nissan OEM strip. Or is it just too small to have any effect, both positive or negative?
Any input is greatly appreciated. Cheers.
