Not all green cards are permanent — and many people don’t realize it
If you received your green card through a marriage that was less than two years old at the time of approval, you likely have a conditional green card.
That means it expires in two years — and before it expires, you must file Form I-751 to remove the conditions.
The important part:
you only have a 90-day window before expiration to file.
A lot of people don’t realize this until it’s too late. Life gets busy, and suddenly that deadline has passed — turning a simple process into a much more complicated situation.
If you have a conditional green card, it’s worth checking your expiration date now and planning ahead.
