Just wanted to clear that is it safe to visit ladakh?

Like have there been any incidents that tourists should keep in mind? I have option of travelling between ladakh or jammer and Kashmir... which should I choose, keeping everything in mind... no offense justly friends said few things and there are some things on the internet idk what to believe
