So much confusion on buying my first bike

I am a complete beginner at riding bikes ( drove my dad's splender - 4 gear ones in my village ), Now moved to city and need to drive 5 geared ones and this is my dream.

My filters on bikes are

- Weight less than 140kg
- Best brake system ( considering i am an absolute beginner, i must focus on this i guess)
- Atleast 10 percent sports look
- Budget is around 1.4 Lakh ( Can't stretch to 1.5 )

I previously shortlisted Apache rtr 160 4v - Dual abs - USD fork > This comes around 1.65 lakh, which is out of budget. Now, i am looking for another bike recommendation. Please suggest the bikes matching the criteria/filters.

Some bikes have an engine stalling issue above a certain RPM, which makes me worry about what would happen if my bike stalled in traffic. At this point, that feels absolutely frightening, so I am deliberately avoiding those bikes.
