No MCAT yet

I just finished all my pre reqs for this applications cycle, I am an untraditional applicant with a background as ER RN. I was looking at MCAT dates to schedule a exam and there is nothing readily available until September. My question is, should I still apply this cycle and submit my MCAT extremely late (this would be my first attempt at the exam as well) or just wait till the next cycle. I have a pretty avg gpa, shadowing hours, and volunteer, the only thing that stands out are my clinical hours as a ER RN. What is everyone’s take ?
