CSC Scholarship 2027 UK applicant — ECNU or SJTU for design MA, any advice?

Hi! I’m a UK student applying for CSC scholarship for an MA in Visual Communication Design at ECNU and SJTU Shanghai for 2027 entry.

Even those without scholarship pls answer about portfolio
A few questions:

1. The Chinese Embassy London only promotes the YES Program (needs 3 years experience) — is standard CSC still available to UK fresh graduates?
2. Has anyone done CSC Type B directly through ECNU or SJTU — how did it work?
3. Did ECNU or SJTU require a portfolio for a design MA — what did you include?
4. I’m coming from a non-design degree (BA Korean Language) with an illustration/drawing background — did anyone apply without a design BA?

I am starting my portfolio now with art i’ve previously done and exploring new pieces i also do tattooing would tattooing artwork be good to include also?
