Alicia Wasn't a Bad Girl – Part3
# Part 3
Alicia thought of herself as a completely sensible woman. And because she thought of herself as a completely sensible woman, it was the completely sensible thing to rise early to prepare a lunch box for her big boss man. Only today, Alicia was conflicted. She knew perfectly well that a lunch box made it that much easier for Dan to drive to the office, which meant that she would potentially wait another day without him finding the statement she had left in his study. She couldn’t have that.
“Do we really need to have this conversation now?” Dan asked as he slathered jam on a piece of buttered toast while Alicia shoveled copious amounts of freshly ground coffee into the dripper. “Besides, you don’t mind my cigars.”
Alicia pushed the button on the coffee maker. “I do.”
He looked puzzled. “You do?” the piece of toast lay forgotten on the counter. “You’ve never said anything.”
“I tolerate the cigars because they’re an occasional indulgence to celebrate.” She poured two coffees and handed the taller one to Dan. “Refusing to kiss you after you’ve had one wasn’t a hint to you?”
“I’m running a bit late, sweetie. Can’t we—“
Alicia took a tentative sip. Too hot. She set the cup down. “Fine. Off you go, then. But don’t you dare smoke again.” She fixed her eyes on him. “It’s filthy.”
Dan didn’t move. Alicia knew he wouldn’t.
He dropped onto a stool, looking defeated. She kept looking at him over the rim of her coffee.
“Didn’t you want to leave?” She was lucky to have a mug block her face, or Dan might’ve noticed her lips curling into a smile.
“It’s fine. I can work from home today.”
“Not on my account, I hope!”
“On account of the time.”
She nodded. “So?”
“You’re not letting this go.”
“You know me so well.” Alicia smiled and sat on his lap, still wearing her black negligee. “Can’t you think of something better to do with your mouth than cigarettes?” She pushed her chest forward. “I’m sure I taste much better, too.”
Alicia could feel exactly the effect she was having on her big boss man. She squirmed a little on his lap before hopping off, watching his gaze follow her behind.
“Shoot, look at the time—“ she said, grinning.
She loved driving her man crazy. She also loved doing the sensible thing: taking care of him. Except, today she wanted her Dan to suffer just a little. “You should really hurry upstairs.”
He groaned. “You’re impossible. Can I get a kiss at least?”
“Do you promise to be good and not smoke?”
He pulled her into a hug and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. “Today.”
Alicia gave his chest a playful slap. “And I’m impossible? Earn your kiss, mister.”
Picking up her own mug, she returned to the counter. She didn’t look back. Instead she started spooning oatmeal into a bowl and covered it in yogurt, smiling to herself. He’ll be back down here in a minute.
At least Alicia hoped he would.
