26M, What do you do after a breakup from a long term relationship?
I’m 26M. Until a few months ago, I had a plan for life. Am well settled in my career, was planning to get married to my then-girlfriend of 3+ years. Basically I knew what I wanted to do for the later half of my 20s.
Due to my family not accepting her, I had to break up with her a couple of months ago. I know, I tried for the better part of a year. There wasn’t a path with a win condition. I had to pick a side.
She was a couple years older than me. And I had been keeping her waiting for 2 years already. It was a stalemate with no progress and was affecting everything. It had to be done.
Gradually making peace with my decision. And I am not sure what’s the path forward from here.
Been just keeping myself busy with multiple jobs and video games so that I don’t have to think about it.
What’s the path forward from here?
