Carolina erased a Vegas lead with three third-period goals to steal Game 2 in OT
The Hurricanes tied the Stanley Cup Final at 1-1 with a 4-3 overtime win on June 4 in Raleigh. Seth Jarvis scored a power-play goal 3:56 into OT, but the real story was the third period collapse where Carolina scored three unanswered goals to erase a Vegas lead.
That kind of swing is brutal to watch, but it also showed the Golden Knights can score goals in bunches in a final. The series was always going to be a fight. Carolina is not built to roll over, and their home crowd at Lenovo Center is loud and locked in.
The good news is Vegas came home after that loss and answered immediately with the Game 3 thriller. Two days in Raleigh, one win, one loss, now back home with a series lead. Knights fans have seen this team bounce back before.
I made a quick video on this one too, check my profile if you want the visual breakdown.
How did you feel after that third-period collapse in Game 2, and did you expect Vegas to come out firing the way they did in Game 3?
