Parking on Allen St(downtown Buffalo)

I’m planning to move into an apartment on Allen St but I’m concerned with how safe it is to park there at night. A friend has had her car broken into on one of the side streets near Allen. I love everything about the place and it would allow me to walk to work but not always being able to have a guaranteed parking spot is annoying and I don’t want to have to pay extra for a parking garage as it defeats the purpose of living close to work.

Does anyone know any apartments in downtown Buffalo that have a parking garage other than the grid and trico?
