My leading cause of death is rival Wolves... How do you deal with rival packs in Young Hunters?

As title says, my leading cause of pup deaths is getting killed by other wolves. I think I found the strategy when it comes to den/rendezvous attacks by playing on the defensive side and keeping a eye on the pups.

But how do I do in Young Hunters? It quickly gets confusing trying to seperate all the names from both my own pack, rival pack and pups/adults + I am trying to single one rival wolf out to try and kill, but usually one of my pups end up dead first. I don't want to flee and give up the territory. So what is your advice/tips/technique?
