Break up experiences

Trigger Warning

It’s been a month and a half since my breakup. To be honest, the first few weeks were a living nightmare—true emptiness, panic attacks, and that crushing feeling that the floor has fallen out from under me.

But from day one, I made a choice: I didn’t stop. I forced myself to work, hit the gym, and focus on rebuilding who I am. Up until a few days ago, I felt like I was actually making progress. I was building, I was focusing on my career, and I was feeling "Heeey It's not so bad, it's a bit okay."

But lately, I’ve hit a wall. The energy is gone. The silence is louder, and the longing for my ex is hitting me just as hard as it did in week one. It feels like I’ve been running a marathon, and now my legs have just given up.

I’m struggling to keep the momentum. I don’t want to go back to being the person I was when it first happened, but the burnout is real.

For those of you who have been through this, how do you handle this "mid-recovery" slump? How do you keep going when the initial motivation has faded, but the healing isn't finished yet?

Any advice would mean the world to me.
