Did anyone here write a nontrad essay although they werent career changers?

❔ Discussion

I’m applying after multiple gap years and my reasons for taking so long aren’t really the things we’re supposed to highlight (going back and forth on career plan for too long, then not understanding how much of an uphill battle it would be to study for the mcat, and some personal life issues I’ve been recommended not to write about).

Almost all of my activities (common premed positions, not really unique) were done after college, so I’m not sure what I would talk about that wouldn’t just be summarizing my activities list. I personally grew a lot since graduating, but I can see how other people experienced that growth at a younger age.

Does anyone have advice on going about this
