Which game should be my first?

I’ve reached a point in my life where I think that I could be good at a soulslike game. I wouldn’t call myself a very intense gamer, but I’d like to try!

The closest I’ve ever come to playing anything with combat like a soulslike is playing the Batman Arkham games (a stretch, I know) but I enjoy the methodical jumping around and timing attacks. I have access to a steam deck, Nintendo switch and PS3.

I enjoy a game that is visually interesting, with an engaging story and maybe a bit of humor. Is there a game for me?
