Scalpers and pitch black

So im brand new to collecting pokemon but i haven't been able to get anything sealed and I really want to open some and im super excited for pitch black but I just don't think I could get any sealed without paying scalpers prices so I wanted to ask reddit if there was a way to get sealed product without having to pay scalper prices that I don't need to be there in a few seconds before all the sealed gets sold out. This was just a quick rant and if not at this point I'll just buy from the scalpers since it seems like everyone else does even tho they say not to
