Is it worth filing a diminished value claim for my situation?

My 2025 Honda Civic with 11,000 miles was hit in the rear and they fled the scene. I snapped a picture of their car and got their license plate and they were charged with a misdemeanor hit & run & their insurance company (Geico) is covering the repairs.

Geico offered $488 at first and the repair estimate ended up being $5200, which they are paying. There was no major structural damage - just the bumper, the panel above it and the backup camera.

For those who are familiar with DV claims, do I have a legitimate claim for its diminished value since the car is just over 1 year old and an accident is now officially on record, or does the vehicle have to sustain more significant damage?

I've Googled how to go about it but am hoping to hear from others who've actually been through the process.
